Obituary for Angelina M. Cangelosi

CANGELOSI, Angelina (nee Marino), age 97, a lifelong resident of Garfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 26, 2023. Angelina worked 25 years as a school crossing guard for the Garfield Police Department at Our Lady of Mount Virgin school retiring in 1997, previously she worked as a seamstress with both Frank Saltz and Sons in Passaic and Spinella Garments in Garfield. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, Garfield, and was loved and adored by all that knew her. She loved taking many trips with her family to Atlantic City and other family trips all over the country. Her family meant the world to her. She also enjoyed spending many days and nights watching her favorite game shows and soap operas. She will be very sadly missed by her loving son Anthony Jr. which referred to her as his "Loving Angel". Angelina is the daughter of the late Joseph, Sr. and Annie (nee Isoldi) Marino. She is survived by her very devoted son Anthony Jr. and his wife Denna, a daughter, three grand-children, her loving grand-dog Paisley, and many loving nieces and nephews. Angelina is predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Anthony Sr. in 2021, and her siblings, Michael Marino, Rose Peruzzi, Joseph Marino, Jr., Peter Marino, Mary Cangialosi, John Marino, Frank Marino, Rocco Marino, Alexander Marino, and baby Mary Marino. Visiting Thursday 1pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm. The funeral is Friday, August 4, 2023, arriving at the Aloia funeral home at 10 am followed by 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, Garfield, N.J. and entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
