Obituary for Anne Kwasnik (Wasek)

KWASNIK, Anne (nee Wasek), age 97, of Garfield, died on March 1, 2021. Born and raised in Lodi for 39 years, she lived in Elmwood Park 34 years settling in Garfield 24 years ago. She worked as a production control clerk 18 years with Finkel Outdoor Products in Garfield retiring in 1987. In her retirement, she volunteered her time and talents knitting and crocheting blankets and hats for newborn babies at local hospitals and lap blankets for those in wheelchairs. Anne was an avid reader, spending a lot of her time at the Garfield Library. She enjoyed baking for family & friends and making Pierogis and Golumpki for Christmas dinner. Anne is survived by two loving sons, John and wife Alison, and Jim and wife Jean, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Kwasnik-Moran, two beloved grandchildren, Bryan and wife Bridgette Frank and Kaitlyn and husband Jeff Gray. She is predeceased by her son, Robert in 1986, and her siblings, Marion and Henry Wasek and Jean Piekarz. The Memorial Mass will be at 1 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at St. Francis de Sales RC Church, Lodi. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to a charity of your choice in her honor.
