MERKEL, Audrey M. (nee Rogers), age 94, of Elmwood Park, died on July 21, 2022. Born and raised in Bloomfield for 22 years, she lived in Lodi for 34 years settling in Elmwood Park 38 years ago. Audrey was the office manager 25 years for Service Department in Hackensack retiring in 1993 and previously, she was a sales associate 12 years for Mike’s Bakery in Lodi. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1984, her daughter, Diane Perini in 2020, her grandson, Joseph Perini in 2022, and her sister, Doris Plumstead. She is survived by two devoted children, Richard Merkel and wife Lois and Karen Cosentino and husband Biagio, her son-in-law, Massimo Perini, eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Visiting Monday 6 to 8 pm. The funeral is Tuesday, July26, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am chapel service. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
