SCHWANER, Carmella Zang (nee Colianni), age 90, of Garfield, died on January 26, 2022. Born and raised in Old Forge, Pennsylvania for 17 years, she settled in Garfield 73 years ago. Carmella was a clerk for Popular Club Plan 20 years retiring in 1994, and she was a parishioner and very active member of Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church, both of Garfield. Carmella predeceased by her first husband, Carl Zang in 1979 and second husband, William Schwaner in 2015. She is survived by two devoted children, Lori Lyons Saimson and husband Eric, and Robert Zang and wife Fran, three cherished grandchildren, Stephen, Anthony and Melissa Lyons, and a great-granddaughter, Alexa Lyons. Visiting Sunday 2 to 6 pm. The funeral is Monday, January 31, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield.
