GIAMMANCO, Carmelo, age 87, of Garfield, died on November 28, 2022. Born and raised in Bolognetta, Sicily-Italy, Carmelo emigrated to the United States in 1964 settling in Garfield 58 years ago. He was a factory worker 36 years with US Ink in Rutherford retiring in 2000, was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church, Garfield and was an avid gardener. He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Giuseppa “Pina” (nee Romanengo), two loving sons, Rosario Giammanco and wife Linda, and Ciro Giammanco, three loving brothers, Salvatore, Angelo and Giuseppe Giammanco, a granddaughter, Nelissa, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visiting Friday 6 to 9 pm. The funeral is Saturday, December 3, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield.
