MIRANDA, Cosimo Anthony "Gus", age 94, a lifelong resident of Garfield and Lodi, died at home on January 7, 2023. Gus was a contractor his entire career, owning and operating his own business. He served in the US Army from 1951-1957. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Gus is predeceased by his first wife, Bernice Zoon, second wife, Joyce Moore, and his siblings, Molly Stolz, Carmella DeCataldo, Anna Russo, Renee Hardy, Albert (Peanuts) Miranda, and Louisa Grecco. He is survived by his sister, Mary Arcardi, his children, Christie (Miranda) Fusaro, Cheryl (Miranda) Majchrzak, Allen Miranda, Wanda Miranda and Kim (Miranda) Vogler, grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Memorial Visitation will be 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, January 15, 2022 at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Avenue, Garfield (973-340-7077). Military Honors will be at 3:45 pm.
