CONNELLY, Daniel F., age 85, of Emerson, died on April 13, 2023. Born and raised in Jersey City for 23 years, Daniel lived in Wallington 45 years settling in Emerson one year ago. Daniel served in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1963 and worked with the CIA six years. He worked with Bergen Industrial in Elmwood Park retiring as Vice President in 1999. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church, East Rutherford and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Carlstadt. Daniel is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Johanna (nee Cangialosi), three loving children, Thomas Connelly and wife Denise, Daniel Connelly and wife Cynthia, and Barbara Ravennati and husband Louis, and eight adored grandchildren, Brendan, Jenna, Gabriella, Alyssa, Brianna, Lia, Arianna, and Holly. Visiting Thursday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Friday, April 21, 2023, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
