REFLECTIONS OF LIFE
Doris Christine Pitts – Davis, born September 25, 1950 to Ethelda and Edward Pitts Sr. in Queens, NY. She graduated from York College in 1981 and worked as a supervisor for the Human Resources Administration where she displayed her wonderful love of people. On December 22, 1979 she married James Davis.
Doris was gentle and compassionate and always put others first. She took great joy in seeing others around her happy. Everyone knew Doris for her signature laugh and cracking jokes. She also loved to travel and often did so with her sister and mom. When home, she was happiest listening to Latin or R&B music and planting new flowers in her garden. No matter when, Doris was always there to listen; an absolutely selfless person ~ Truly a heart of gold!
Doris is survived by her sisters, Muriel and Sister Kenura, brothers Aaron and Nathaniel, and predeceased by her other siblings, Juanita and Edward Jr.
Celebrating her life and legacy, Doris leaves behind her two sons Von and Akeem, husband James, grandchildren Marquis, Micah, and Morghan, Avant and Adonis, and great grand-child, little Quis.
She will be greatly missed but will live in our hearts forever. She is now in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
