CICCONE, Francis P., Jr. “Chicky”, age 82, of Clifton, died on April 14, 2023. Born and raised in Newark for 25 years, Francis lived in Bloomfield seven years settling in Clifton 50 years ago. He was a teacher 30 years for the Belleville Board of Education retiring in 1996, was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1963 to 2001, and was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Francis graduated from both Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange and Seton Hall University in South Orange, and he was a member of the Clifton American Legion - Quentin Roosevelt Post 8 and a member of the New Jersey Education Association. He is predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Irma J. in 2020, and his parents, Francis, Sr. and Rubina Ciccone. Francis is survived by two devoted children, Lisa Ciccone, and Francis Ciccone with wife Deborah. Visiting Sunday 2 to 5 pm. The funeral is Monday, April 17, 2023, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
