FAVIA, Giacomo, age 71, of Lodi, died on January 9, 2023. Born and raised in Bolonetta, Sicily-Italy for five years, Giacomo emigrated to the United States living in Manhattan, NY for four years and the Bronx for 14 years settling in Lodi 48 years ago. He was a machine operator over 25 years for Axa Equitable in New York, NY retiring in 1996, he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church and a member of the St. Anthony Society, both of Garfield. He is predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Carmela Favia, and a sister, Paola La Franca. Giacomo is survived by his devoted and loving sister, Rosa Favia, a dear brother-in-law, Anthony La Franca, and he was the adored uncle to Angela La Franca, Carmela Ott and husband Michael, Joseph La Franca, and Christina La Franca. Visiting Wednesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Thursday, January 12, 2023, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations in Giacomo’s name to Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, 188 Mac Arthur Avenue, Garfield, NJ.
