Gina M. Levy (Muzzillo) passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 55 in Wood-ridge, New Jersey. She was born on February 9, 1968, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Gina was a beloved wife to David, a cherished daughter to Jackie, and a loving sister to Lisa and Cali. She was also a devoted fur mom to Monty and Barney.
Gina was known for her selfless nature, always putting others' needs and well-being before her own. She had a fearless spirit and was never afraid to take risks. Gina had a deep love for hockey, supporting both the New Jersey Devils and the Montreal Canadiens. Her passion for music ranged from doo-wop, influenced by her father Richie's singing career in The Valentones, to rock guitarists such as Eddie Van Halen and Steve Val. She cherished countless memories with her family while walking the Wildwood boardwalk. Gina was a natural leader and earned the admiration of her peers during her time at American Express.
Gina's educational journey included attending Queen of Peace High School and later pursuing higher education at New Jersey City University.
Gina had an impressive career at American Express, where she held various leadership positions. She excelled as the Director of Travel/Lifestyle Svcs Compliance. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions Compliance. Gina also made significant contributions as the Director of Enterprise Digital & Analytics Compliance and as the Director of Global Marketing Operations Compliance. Her expertise and dedication were evident during her tenure as the Senior Compliance Manager of Global Marketing Ops from and as the Senior Manager of OPEN Compliance, Acquisitions. Gina started her journey at American Express as a Manager of Compliance - US Card Services. Before joining American Express, she held positions at Aurora Bank FSB, Heritage Community Bank, and American Bank of New Jersey.
Outside of her professional life, Gina had a wide range of hobbies and interests. She enjoyed watching professional hockey, spending time at the beach, indulging in spa days, playing the guitar, and caring for her beloved pugs, Monty and Barney. Gina had a passion for fashion and cherished moments spent with her niece Jillian. She also loved traveling and had fond memories of her time in Denver, Colorado, and Naples, Florida.
Friends and family are invited to attend the memorial service honoring Gina's life. The service will take place on Sunday, August 13th, from noon to 2 PM at Aloia Funeral Home, located at 180 Harrison Ave, Garfield, NJ 07026.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Gina's memory. Her dedication to helping others will continue to make a difference in the lives of children in need.
