BARCIA, Giuseppa (nee Barbaccia), age 102 and 8 months, of Garfield, died on November 6, 2022. She was born and raised in Marineo, Sicily-Italy and at the age of 46 emigrated to the United States settling in Garfield in 1966. Giuseppa was a homemaker, a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield, and she was a member and past Vice President of the St. Ciro Society, Garfield. She is predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe in 1995, her baby son Pietro in 1946, and two sons, Pietro in 2007 and Carmelo in 2018. Giuseppa is survived by three devoted children, Ciro Barcia and wife Paulette, Francesca Busciglio and husband Enzo, and Franco Barcia, two daughters-in-law, Rosa and Piera Barcia, ten adored grandchildren, and 17 cherished great-grandchildren. Visiting Tuesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, November 9, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family will accept donations for the St. Ciro Society Scholarship Fund.
