CHRIST, Hans, age 90, of Mahwah, died on January 5, 2022. He was born and raised in Eschbach In der Pfalz, Germany for 24 years emigrating to Clifton for 47 years before settling in Mahwah 19 years ago. Hans was a chemical operator for many years at Hoffman-LaRoche in Nutley and retired in 1994. He was a parishioner of St. Paul RC Church, Ramsey, and a member of the Mahwah Seniors. He is predeceased by his wife, Maria (nee Leili) in 1996, and siblings, Albert Christ, Otto Christ, and Gerda Heilig. Hans is survived by three devoted children, Robert John Christ and wife Hanna, Marianna Pollack, Lorraine Altomare, and six adored grandchildren; Christie and husband Eric, Jessica, Daniel, Matthew, Julia, and Andre. Visiting Sunday 2 to 6 pm. The funeral is Monday, January 10, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am chapel service. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
