COMPESI, James, age 68, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on May 7, 2021. James was a postal carrier for the Saddle Brook Post Office many years before retiring and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. He is predeceased by his wife of 21 years, Ellen M. Compesi (nee Pettinato). James is survived by his loving children, Ann Marie Compesi (Richard Bohan) and Jamie Compesi (Anna). Visiting Tuesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, May 12, 2021, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Private Cremation. In lieu of flowers the family will accept memorial gifts to the American Heart Association.
