PERAINO, Joan (nee Pantess), age 86, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on January 5, 2023. She lived a fulfilling life as a mother, sister, wife and friend. Joan was a homemaker, a parishioner of Most Holy Name RC Church and a member of the 7-up Club, all of Garfield. Joan is predeceased by her beloved husband, Salvatore, her two children, Michael Peraino and Karen Schrank, and siblings, her twin sister Jean Dai and brother Charles Pantess. She is survived by her loving children, Thomas Peraino (Cynthia), Lisa Peraino (Tony Sweet), two cherished grandchildren, Anthony (Taylor) and Christina Peraino (Matthew Fischgrund), a great-granddaughter, Gianna Peraino, her son-in-law, Anthony Schrank and daughter-in-law, Bea Duszek with Robert Pollack.
