GOFFREDO, John A. Sr., age 69, of Oakland, died on February 4, 2021. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Long Island, NY (38 years), lived in Wallington, NJ (16 years) and later moved to Mount Olive, NJ and finally settling in Oakland 2 years ago. John was a warehouse manager for 28 years, retiring in 2008. He worked at President Container and Foremost Corrugated, both in Moonachie. He is predeceased by his wife of 33 years, Marie in 2008, and his parents, Albert and Helen Goffredo. He is survived by three loving children, John A. Goffredo Jr. and wife Jodi, Megan Restuccia and husband Michael, and Jesse Goffredo, four cherished grandchildren, Hailey, Michael Jr., Madison, and CaraMia, and five dear siblings, Vincent, Robert, Michael, Albert, and Petrina Brace (William). John will be remembered blasting his classic rock music, cooking up a storm or calling his family to tune into his favorite documentary. He was always active in his grandchildren's schooling and extracurricular programs and could often be seen beaming so proud of his family. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at the Aloia Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, February 10, 2021, departing the Aloia Funeral Home at 10:00 am followed by an 11 am mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church, Oakland and 1pm Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester.
