Obituary for Joseph Vittorio

VITTORIO, Joseph, age 88, of Paramus, died on March 26, 2021. Born and resided in Garfield for 32 years, he settled in Paramus 56 years ago. Joseph worked in the construction industry 70 years owning and operating J & J Vittorio Construction Company in Paramus, retiring in 2004. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Annunciation in Paramus, and a former member of the Garfield Kiwanis. Joseph is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Mildred "Millie" (nee Martinelli), a loving daughter, Vicki Kelly and husband Brian, two cherished grandchildren, Shannon and Joey Kelly, a sister, Jeanette Mercadante, two sisters-in-law, Joan Migliaccio and Marie Kraven, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Mary, two siblings, John and wife Anna, and Caroline Parisi and husband frank, and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rosario Mercadante, Theodore Kraven, Joseph Migliaccio, Florence Martinelli, and Al and Barbara Martinelli. Visiting Sunday 2 to 6 pm. The funeral is Monday, March 29, 2021, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by a 9:30 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
