Obituary for Josephine Amico
AMICO, Josephine, age 94, a lifelong resident of Garfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Before retiring, Josephine worked in the Accounting Department at Shulton in Clifton and she was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Garfield and a former member of the Garfield Women’s Club.
She is predeceased by her parents, Nunizata and Antonio Amico, her sister, Mary Shortino, and her brothers, Michael, Anthony and Richard Amico.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Veniero, and she was a loving aunt to Lucille Magarro, Michele La Jeunesse (Joseph), Nancy Cannici, Rosalind Graziano and Anthony Amico (Julie), and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Josephine is also survived by her step-children, Joseph (Maryann), Vincent, Paul, Joann and was a proud grandmother of Caroline and Joseph Veniero.
Visiting Tuesday 3 to 6 pm at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Avenue, Garfield (973-340-7077). The funeral will be Wednesday, May 18, 2022 arriving 8:00 am at the funeral home followed by a 9 am Mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Entombment Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
