BENDZAK, Josephine (nee Koza), age 88, of Garfield, died on April 5, 2022. Born in Gallitzin, PA, Josephine lived in Sidman, PA 21 years before settling in Garfield 67 years ago. She was a homemaker, a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield and a dedicated member of the Rosary Society since 1980. Josephine is predeceased by her husband, Louis in 1997, two children, Michael and Bernard, two grandchildren, Matthew and Tony Bendzak, and two brothers, John and Albert Koza. She is survived by six children, Louise Gaita (Joe), Catherine Bilokin (Pete), Vincent (Jeanine), Philip (Ronnie), Lewis, and Christopher (Kathryn) Bendzak, six siblings, Cecilia Mentzer, Theresa (Mick) Enedy, Frank (Susan), Paul (Bertha), Bernice, and Rapheal Koza, 22 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Visiting Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Saturday, April 9, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield.
