PAUL, Josephine (nee Grecco), age 92, of Wantagh, NY, died on September 21, 2022. Born and raised in Garfield for 32 years, she lived in Wayne for 40 years moving to Wantagh 20 years ago. Josephine was a graduate of Garfield High School and started her career as a seamstress working at the local dress shops in Bergen County. When she moved to Wayne to raise her family, she began working as a lunch aide for the Lafayette School in Wayne for 15 years retiring in 1990. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, Garfield where she also belonged to the CYO. Josephine is predeceased by her husband, Fred Frank Paul in 2001, and her siblings, Stephen Grecco, Millie Pruzinsky, and Jacob Grecco. She is survived by two devoted children, Michael Paul and wife Barbara and Judy Checco and husband Jimmy, two grandchildren, Alexa DeLaVergne and husband Michael and Jennifer Paul, a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn, and a sister, Mary Cirello. The funeral is Wednesday, September 28, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 11 am chapel service. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
