Obituary for Kenneth William Micks

Kenneth William Micks, 36, entered eternal life on January 29, 2021. Kenny was born September 17, 1984 in Haledon, NJ and was currently living in Pompton Lakes, NJ.
Kenny was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Wycoff, where he was baptized and confirmed. During his high school years, he was a camp counselor at the North Haledon Summer Program. Kenny also put together many shows with local bands during his lifetime. He loved working with people, and that led to a life in the hospitality industry. Kenny enjoyed working at Portabello’s, Anthony Coal Fire Pizza, LaQuinta, and the Waffle House. He loved to cook, but his greatest joy was his son, Noah. Kenny’s best-loved moments with Noah were spent playing video games, playing in the park, and watching Noah play baseball. Kenny had a generous soul and loved everyone.
Kenny is survived by his son, Noah Mueller of Wayne, NJ, his parents, Barbara and Glenn Micks, his brother Jason Micks, all of Mount Olive, NC, several aunts and uncles, and many friends. Kenny now joins his grandparents Dorothy and Thomas Avato, Helen and Julius Micks, and his Uncle George Avato.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2 PM at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, 2791 Grantham School Rd., Mount Olive, NC. It will be live-streamed on Barbara Avato Micks’ Facebook page for all of his friends in New Jersey to view. Arrangements by the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Avenue, Garfield, NJ (973-340-7077).
