WALSH, Margaret (nee Sassano), age 95, of Scotch Plains, died on May 3, 2021. Born and raised in Garfield for 38 years, she settled in Scotch Plains 57 years ago. She was an administrative assistant 20 years for the Union County Vocational Technical High School in Scotch Plains before retiring in 1991, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield, and a member of the New Jersey Education Association. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward in 2000, and siblings, Daniel, Dominick, Frank, and Phyllis Horvath. She is survived by her son, Timothy C. (Kari), two grandchildren, Braden Edward and Rylie Margaret, and a brother, John Sassano (Lorraine). The Funeral Mass is 11 am on Friday, May 7, 2021, at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
