FILAROWICZ, Maria (nee Trela), age 97, of Clifton, died on September 5, 2023. She was born and raised in Obojnea, Poland, for 39 years, immigrating and settling in Clifton, New Jersey. She worked as an assembly worker for Star Glo in East Rutherford and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church, Garfield. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Henryk Filarowicz and siblings, Eugeniusz Trela and wife Janina, Julian Trela and wife Teresa, and Józef Trela and wife Franciszka. She is survived by her son, Ryszard Filarowicz and wife Lucyna, and daughters, Barbara Palka and husband Krzysztof, Grazyna Paciga and husband Walenty, five beloved grandchildren, Lukasz, Kasia, Joana, Margaret, Matthew, three great-grandchildren Dominik, Aleksander, and Antos, brothers Adam Trela, Edward Trela with wife Janina, sisters Elzbieta Panas, and Krystyna Trzaskowski with husband Andzej. Visiting is Thursday 6 to 8 pm. The funeral is Friday, September 8, 2023, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church, Garfield.
