GAGLIOTI, Marianna (nee Giorgio), age 82, of Garfield, passed away on December 17, 2020. Born and raised in Soverato, Italy (Calabria). At age of 16, she immigrated to Argentina. After 22 years, Marianna and family left Argentina and settled in Garfield, NJ, where she spent the rest of her life for the past 44 years. She was a seamstress 20 years retiring in 1997 from the I.L.G.W.U - Passic Local. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 41 years, Vincenzo in 2000, her parents and five siblings. She is survived by three devoted and loving daughters, Carmen DeBenedictis and husband Giovanni, Maria Antonia Gaglioti and husband Jose Gomez-Rivera, and Patricia Gaglioti; three sisters, Chiara Basile, Caterina Chiaravalloti, and Giovanna Femia; two grandchildren, Giovanni DeBenedictis Jr and Doreen Mazzei and husband Mario; and many nieces and nephews. Marianna was the sweetest and purest woman who loved her family. She loved to travel to spend time with her siblings and loved being with good company. She was happiest cooking and baking for others. All services were privately held with a memorial mass to be announced. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
