SCHMITZ, Mathilda “Tilly” (nee Soltis), age 96, of Waretown, NJ, died on January 1, 2021. Tilly was born and raised in Clifton living there 82 years moving to Waretown 14 years ago. She was a group leader 25 years with Dell Publishing in Pine Brook retiring in 1988, and was a parishioner of St. Cyril’s RC Church and St. Andrew’s RC Church, Clifton and St. Mary’s RC Church, Barnegat. She is survived by two loving sons, Wayne Swarctz and wife Marie, and Kim Swarctz and wife Jane, and a grandson, Christopher Swarctz. She is predeceased by her husband, William Schmitz in 1988, and a sister, Helen Melis. All arrangements were private with her interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
