Obituary for Nicholas "Nick" Sudenko, III

SUDENKO, Nicholas “Nick”, III, age 51, of Lincoln Park, passed away on February 19, 2023 at 3:46 am with his family by his side at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Born and raised in Paterson for 35 years, Nick settled in Lincoln Park 16 years ago with his family. He was a computer technician with CorpTech Technologies and a long time member of Maker Junction, both of Fairfield. He is survived by his father, Nikolaj, II and is predeceased by his mother, Bernadette. Nick is survived by his wife, Doreen Hansen Sudenko and his children, Brandon (28), Nicholas, IV (19), twins Elizabeth and Lucas (15). He is also survived by his cousin, Kenneth Houarner and wife Gina. Nick is survived by his in-laws, Margaret and Eric Hansen, sister-in-law, Amanda Garris, and brother-in-law, Rick Garris. Nick was a devout loving father to his four beautiful children. You would always hear him talking about what they were up to or into. He always would be found supporting his children's creative styles and endeavors. He lived for his family. Nick was a fabulous husband. Always caring for his wife. Taking care of her every need to the upmost best of his abilities. He loved adventure. He love family vacations, especially the Great Wolf Lodge and Kalahari Resort. An avid video game enthusiasts especially of the Atari 2600 (his favorite!) and many other video gaming systems. He couldn’t learn enough about the newest technologies and sciences of the world. He loved an iced cold Corona and a great bacon cheeseburger. He adored dogs of all sorts, especially his beloved Doberman Dollar and Husky Penny from when he was a teen. Family holidays were his favorite especially Thanksgiving and the Fourth of July. He was constantly tinkering with his 3D printer and his 99’ ford ranger pick-up truck. Nick especially enjoyed a warm shower and a freshly made bed at the end of his day.

A celebration of life will be held for him in the summer to acknowledge his zest for life, his devotion to his family and the love he had for his friends. He will then be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa at a later date. Please stay in touch with Doreen Hansen Sudenko for further celebration information or check back here on our website at aloiafuneralhome.com for updates.
