Obituary for Orest John Bedrij

With greatest reverence, deepest gratitude and everlasting love we share the news that Orest Bedrij, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and grand-uncle crossed over on January 23, 2022. He is rejoicing in eternal majesty, the Alpha and the Omega, “Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8)

Orest J. Bedrij, MS, PhD was an enlightened and holy being. He shared his Light as a brilliant visionary physicist, a profound and gifted author, a successful and ground-breaking venture capitalist, business person and most of all, Orest Bedrij was a devoted, loving and cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, grand-uncle, mentor and friend to countless. His life was one of divine providence.
Orest was born May 24, 1933 and devoted his 88 years to living the Will of the Most High.
Born in western Ukraine, Orest immigrated to the USA in 1949, a country he served and cherished with all his heart and soul. He leaves behind his greatest love and wife of 65 years, Oksana, and his two surviving children, Roksana Bedrij-Arpa and Chrystyna Bedrij-Stecyk along with their spouses, Christopher L. Arpa and Adrian Stecyk, grandson, Christiaan Bedrij-Arpa and his sisters Arcadia Pilskalns and Tatiana Evanitsky. He was predeceased by his parents Eustachy and Olha Bedrij and his son Orest W. Bedrij.
As many of you know, Orest led a very accomplished and holy life and spent his lifetime manifesting God's word, sharing the wisdom of the ages, the Light of the Most High, intuitive brilliance and infinite love with the world ( https://prabook.com/web/mobile/#!profile/1442101). Some of his noteworthy achievements include serving his country in the Army Reserve; serving as IBM's technical director at age 29, responsible for the development, programming, and integration of the computers for the first soft landing on the moon at the Space Flight Operations facility in Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, NASA; planning and developing the IBM "Stretch" System, IBM 1410 and IBM 360 computer systems; serving as inventor of the IBM Patent "Select Carry Adder" that significantly accelerated the speed of IBM’s mainframe computers; and serving as Trustee and Treasurer of the John E. Fetzer Foundation. He co-founded numerous technology companies including IOMEC, Compusize, Xytex, etc. and he also co-founded and was director of Advanced Memory Systems (AMS) (later called Intersil, acquired by General Electric (GE) which pioneered the development of LSI (Large Scale Integrated chips) technology, advanced microelectronic circuits and computer memory systems (using the Ukrainian Easter Egg, Pysanka, as his inspiration). He was passionately and deeply involved with the Ukrainian community serving as the greatest driving force behind the first endowment and first permanent chair at Harvard University for Ukrainian Studies. As Director of the Executive Committee and Treasurer, he insured that the Ukrainian Institute at Harvard was established for the purpose of integrating and reinforcing instruction and research in history, literature,economy, language and culture of Ukraine. He was also the guiding light and instrumental as Trustee and Board Member in spearheading the fund-raising, comprehensive planning and construction of the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in upstate New York. After a continued life of prayer, purification, fasting and meditation, in 1977, he published ONE, which lay the groundwork for his “Grand Unification of Physics”. To that end, Dr. Bedrij was a genius and profound thinker, authoring over 14 books as well as multiple published works, ranging in subject from physics, mathematics, spirituality and philosophy. Orest Bedrij succeeded in unifying the Laws of Physics and had published and presented his Grand Unification Theory (GUT) and demonstrated its mathematical verification in his patented COSMOLOG slide rule along with his three copyrighted published volumes of over 214,000 new and previously undiscovered physics equations. He created the “Perfections of the Most High” which provided a roadmap to enlightenment . He had revealed the unity of nature and the physics and philosophy of Ultimate Reality as the nature of God, the”Theory of Everything”, “ 1 " : The Foundation of Nature, “ 1 “: The Foundation, Prediction, Verification and Mathematization of Pure Being, all in his lifetime work.

He lived and practiced “Union without Ceasing” accessing the “ 1 “, an infinite reservoir of peace, love, wisdom and bliss. His works are his eternal legacy and his “greatest achievement” is the advancement of “ 1 “, the union of spirituality and science and helping humanity “Celebrate their Divinity”. On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, 1:00 pm a service will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Kerhonkson, N.Y.
