CANGAELOSI, Salvatore N., age 86, of Garfield, died on March 23, 2022. Born in Hackensack, Salvatore lived in Lodi 20 years, Garfield 44 years, and Manchester Township 20 years before settling in Garfield two years ago. He was a machine operator 12 years for Okonite Company in Paterson retiring in 1998, and previously, he was a foreman 25 years for Hermatite Company in Moonachie. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield and avid golfer, and NY Giants and NY Yankee fan. Salvatore is predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Geraldine (nee Popovich) in 2020, and two brothers, Joseph Pieretti and Richard Turkowsky. He is survived by two devoted daughters, Sandra Pacifico and husband Louis, and Diane Cangaelosi and wife Valerie, two cherished grandchildren, Louis James (Nicole) and Lindsey Rose (Michael), three adored great-grandchildren, Ava and Louis Pacifico and Michael Vincent Puchalski. Visiting Friday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Saturday, March 26, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield.
