GAZDUS, Sandra (nee Rembish), age 76, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on February 5, 2023. Sandra was a dispatcher for Sears in Maywood, NJ 20 years before retiring. She is predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert “Bob” Gazdus in 2022, and a sister, Christine Christ. Sandra is survived by three loving children, Tracy Merwede and husband Roy, Kristie Bednarz and husband Tommy, and Kelly Gazdus and husband Ron, seven adored grandchildren, John, Emily, Kyle, Tyler, Christopher, Michael, and Shaye, and six dear siblings, Fred Rembish, Ray Rembish, Anne Marie Stoffels, Alice Rembish, Nancy Sclafani and Adrian Alessandrini. Memorial Mass is Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 12 pm at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. In lieu of flowers the family will accept memorial gifts to the American Cancer Association and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
