Obituary for Santa Sinagra (Azzara)

SINAGRA, Santa (nee Azzara), age 95, of Garfield, died on October 20, 2022. Born and raised in Bolognetta, Sicily-Italy, she lived there 35 years and the Bronx for two years settling in Garfield 58 years ago. She was a seamstress 30 years with Merit Garment retiring in 2002, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, a member of the St. Anthony Society Women’s Auxiliary, all of Garfield, and a member of the I.L.G.W.U. - Passaic Local. She is predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Serafino in 2005, and her siblings, Serafino Azzara, Josephine Giammanco, Maria LaDuca, and Caterina De Fresco. She is survived by her loving son, Frank and wife Patricia, three adored grandchildren, Tyler, Francesca, and Nicholas, a great-grandson, Narcisco, and three siblings, Giuseppe Azzara, Concetta De Fresco and Fortunata Pepe. Visiting Tuesday 6 to 8 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, October 26, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield.
