DOE, Stephen, age 84, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on August 31, 2023. He worked in the maintenance department for the Garfield Board of Education retiring in 1997, and previously, he worked with the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission. Stephen graduated from the Capri Institute of Cosmetology and was a part time hair stylist, licensed in both New York and New Jersey. Stephen was a member of the Independent Italian American Social Club of Elmwood Park, he was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling with his daughter. Beloved and devoted husband of 60 years to Gloria (nee Chopo), loving father to Deborah Doe, and a dear brother-in-law to Dolores Imbruglia, Eileen Facas and Paul Roettger, and an uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Marlene Roettger in 2013, and his parents, Robert and Lena Doe. Visitation Tuesday Morning 9 to 11 am at the Aloia Funeral Home followed by an 11 am chapel service.
