RAFFO, Theresa M. (nee D'Amato), age 96, of Garfield, died on January 17, 2023. Born in Abingdon, Illinois, was raised in Jersey City settling in Garfield 62 years ago. She was a factory employee before retiring, and a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield. Theresa enjoyed cooking for her family, crocheting in her younger years and playing the lottery always hoping for that big win! She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Mario in 2018, and her siblings, Rose D'Amato, Annunziato D'Amato, and Margaret Lemme. She is survived by three siblings, Sebastian D'Amato, Anthony D'Amato and wife Maria, and Josephine Cassella, 12 nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews, two daughters by marriage, Rosemarie Warner and Rebecca Schweighart with her children, Edward Schweighart and wife Kathy, and Lisa Jackson and husband Mac, and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral is Thursday, January 26, 2023, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10:30 am followed by a 11:30 am chapel service. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
