AMEZQUITA, Victor L., age 76, of Garfield, died on July 10, 2023. Born and raised in Lima, Peru for 55 years, he emigrated to Garfield 21 years ago. He worked as a Plant Manager 20 years for MWT, Inc., in Passaic retiring in 2022, was a member of the Garfield Boys and Girls Club, loved to cook, enjoyed being a spectator at many sporting events, watching television shows and taking trips in his car. Victor is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Julia L. Villavicencio, three devoted children, Joao Amezquita, Fabian Amezquita and Karen Hurtado, two adored grandchildren, Thiago and Lucia Amezquita, and two dear sisters, Olga Hurtado and Berta Amezquita. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Catherine Chin, Michele Amezquita and Robert Hurtado. Victor is predeceased by his brother, David Amezquita and his parents, Leoncio Amezquita and Obdulia Soto. Visiting Thursday 5 to 9 pm. The funeral is Friday, July 14, 2023, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9:30 am followed by a 10:30 am mass at Most Holy Name RC Church, Garfield. Private Cremation to Follow.
