Obituary for Vito Curlo

CURLO, Vito, age 76, of Garfield, died on January 31, 2022. Born and raised in Bari, Italy for 27 years, he lived in Hasbrouck Heights, Passaic and Lodi settling in Garfield 40 years ago. Vito served in the Italian Navy, and worked as a machine operator 20 years in a Dye House, and worked 20 years as a crane operator with Duke’s Junkyard, Lodi and with Parkway Iron. Clifton retiring in 2012. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nunziata (nee Pranzo), three children, AnnaMaria LoBue and husband Giovanni, Giacobbe Curlo and Emma Caraballo, seven grandchildren, Giovanni (Samantha), Alex (Shannon), Davide (Colleen), Mark, Victor (Lauren), Nicholas (Taylor), and Jacqueline and one great-grandchild, Dominic. He is also survived by nine siblings, Vito, Franco, Silvio, Stefania, Elizabeta, Maria, and Sara Mazzochi, and Davide and Antonino Curlo. Vito is predeceased by his parents, Giacobbe and Anna Marinella. Visiting Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Friday, February 4, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Entombment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Vito's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
