Salvatore  Mastropaolo
MASTROPAOLO, Salvatore a/k/a Sali, Zio Totto, and Nonno, age 85, of Whiting, went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2015. Born and raised in Bolognetta, Sicily-Italy, he settled in the Bronx for 3 years and then lived in Lodi and Garfield. He worked for Roma Ravioli in South Hackensack for 16 years as the assembly line manager and then worked at Kohl and Madden in Lodi for a year retiring in 1976. He served in the Italian Army, and he was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, and St. Joseph’s Church, Lodi. He was also a member of the St. Anthony Society, the Sacred Heart Society, and the San Pio Prayer Group, all of Garfield. Loving husband of 60 years to his wife Rosa (nee Malleo) and dear brother of Nicolo and Carmelo Mastropaolo. Beloved father of Francesca Bennett and husband Walter, and Giuseppe and wife Valerie, and grandfather of Michael, Danny, Peter, and Samantha. He is predeceased by a brother, Pietro, and a sister, Anna Fiumefreddo. Visiting Sunday 2 to 6 pm. The funeral is Monday, July 20, 2015, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
