Nicolo "Nick" Vittoria
VITTORIA, Nicolo, age 84, of Garfield, died on August 24, 2015, at home. He was born and resided in Newark, for 24 years, Belleville for 25 years, Lodi for 25 years before moving to Garfield 10 years ago. He was employed in the manufacturing industry working most of his life for Westinghouse Lighting Corporation. He served as a Corporal in the Korean War, receiving the Korean Service Medal, 3 Bronze Service Stars, Combat Badge, and the United Nations Service Medal. He is predeceased by his daughter Catherine in April. He is survived by his wife Anna of 61 years, one daughter Annette Susco, three sons Nicholas, Stephen, and Michael and his wife Janna. Also survived by one sister Stephanie Frezza, two brothers Pat and Benny Vittoria, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Visiting Thursday, August 27 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Private Cremation. The Vittoria family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077). In lieu of flowers the family is accepting memorial donations.
