Daniel Webster  Inserra, Sr.
INSERRA, Daniel Webster, Sr., age 80, of Raleigh, NC, died on September 7, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Garfield, he raised his family in Mahwah, moving to Jupiter, FL for 9 years, and Raleigh the past 4 years. Dan’s career began with his family business, Patsy’s Market in Lyndhurst, which later became ShopRite Supermarkets. Dan left ShopRite and pursued many other business ventures. He always saw the best in people and found little ways to honor and make others feel special. He will best be remembered for his love of family and enthusiasm for life. He was a parishioner of Church of the Presentation. He is predeceased by his parents, Patsy and Antoinette, and three brothers, Patrick, Henry, and Larry. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Evelyn (nee Deno), a son, Daniel W., Jr. and his wife Katherine, three daughters, Diane Rosini and her husband Edward, Denise Inserra-Vergnes, and Doree Tschudy and her husband Michael, a brother, Ray Inserra and his wife Angie, a sister, Babe Schiano and her husband Lou, a sister-in-law Sophie Inserra, and six grandchildren, Sara, Jonathan, Alexandria, Christian, William, and Henry. The funeral is Saturday, September 10, 2011, arriving at the Church of the Presentation, 271 Upper Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ at 9:30 am followed by a 10:30 am mass. Interment Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for Duke University, C/O Dr. Andrew Armstrong, or the Villa Marie Claire Hospice.
