We are heartbroken to share the passing of our family patriarch Gasper “Gap” Rigolosi, who left us on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, after a brief and valiant battle with Covid. He was born and raised in Garfield for 35 years settling in Saddle Brook 44 years ago, he served in the US Army, and was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield. Gap was the owner and operator of Coranne, a Health & Beauty Aides establishment on Main Ave. in Passaic, and eventually opened Coranne II in Saddle Brook, a popular stop at the Center on Fair Lawn Parkway. He went on to be a Manager at area Harmon stores before retiring in 2007. The years since have been all about his grandchildren. He loved to spend his days at their events, games and school functions. Nothing brought him greater joy than sharing in their life’s moments and we are truly grateful that he was able to be ever present in their lives. Pop-Pop’s Gang will miss him every single day. His love for his own children was a shining example of what fatherhood should be. There are not too many men who can brag that his grown children still live on the same street they grew up on. All who knew him will remember his sweet disposition, his genuine smile, and his hearty laugh. His positive attitude was infectious, and the world will be a sadder place without him in it. He was a devoted husband of 52 years to his one and only, Lucille (nee Imparato), loving father to Maria (and husband Ronny) and Michael (and wife Jenn), the proudest Pop-Pop to his grandchildren - Matthew, Nicky, Frankie, Jake and Max, and a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister, Rose Bartlomiejczyk in 2018. All services are private with his interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. A Memorial Mass will be planned for a future date. My sincere condolences to Gap’s family. Gap was a childhood friend who lived next door to my Grandmother in front of the Whooppee Soda Works where his father worked for many years. I remember playing with his trains at Christmas! He always had a smile and a good word for me and my parents. May he Rest In Peace.
